The Power of Service — Where True Purpose Lies

"The meaning of life is to find your gift- the purpose of life is to give it away"
"The meaning of life is to find your gift- the purpose of life is to give it away"

There is an alchemy that happens when we choose to turn our pain into purpose. It’s the quiet, unseen moment where heartbreak becomes healing, and where loss transforms into light.

Recently, through a personal tragedy, I’ve been reminded of what alchemy truly means and it’s not just about transformation, but transmutation. It’s the courage to take what was once heavy and turn it into something golden and for me, that gold has revealed itself through service.

So often, we search for meaning by asking how to find my purpose. We read the books, do the courses, chase the next milestone hoping that somewhere out there, purpose will appear like a missing piece. But purpose isn’t found in arrival; it’s created through connection.

If you’ve been asking yourself how to find my purpose, the answer might be simpler than you think: go and do something for someone else.

That’s where the magic begins.

When we show up for others, we move from self-focus to soul-focus. We shift from “What do I need?” to “What can I give?” And in that shift — we rise. We come home to ourselves. Because the energy of service doesn’t just change the world around you, it changes you.

As my lifetime mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer always said, “How do I serve?”That question has the power to realign you with your truest self - the version of you that already knows how to find my purpose through what you give.

My all time faveourite quote- in the words of of Pablo Picasso-

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” resonates more than ever recently.

If you’re feeling lost, uncertain, or disconnected from your direction - start here. Service is the most powerful alchemy there is. It transforms grief into grace, confusion into clarity, and pain into purpose.

Five Steps to Reconnect With Your Purpose Through Service

  1. Turn Inward First. Before you can give from overflow, you must reconnect to your own centre. Take a quiet moment and ask, “What has life taught me that I can share?” Often, your greatest pain becomes your greatest service.

  2. Serve From Authenticity. You don’t have to build a movement to make a difference. Service can look like a kind word, a message of support, or using your unique gifts to uplift others. Your energy is your offering.

  3. Transmute What Hurts. When life tests you, ask how you can alchemize the experience. Turn heartbreak into compassion, loss into creation, frustration into fuel. This is true alchemy. This is how to find my purpose in every season.

  4. Align With Something Bigger.Remember: service doesn’t diminish your dreams — it amplifies them. The more you give, the more life mirrors that energy back to you. Service is a frequency. Tune into it daily.

  5. Make It a Practice. Each morning, ask Dr. Dyer’s question: “How do I serve today?”Whether through art, business, or simple acts of kindness - let this question anchor you. Purpose isn’t a destination. It’s a rhythm of giving and receiving.

When we serve, we remember who we are. When we love, we lead andwhen we transmute — when we alchemize — we step into the most powerful role of all: the conscious creator of our own story.

So if you’re still wondering how to find my purpose, begin there. Serve someone. Share your gift and watch how your own light begins to rise.

With Love and Alchemy
